Q) Can I use LabelManager (Dymo D1) Tapes in Rhino Printers?
A) Short answer “Yes, but why would you want to?”
Technically this will work (though is not necessarily supported) as the cartridges are the same design, however, the tape itself is greatly different. The Dymo Rhino tapes are designed for very specific uses, as are the Rhino printers.
Putting standard tapes in a Rhino machines is kind of missing the point – if you just want to use cheap LabelManager tapes, buy a cheap LabelManager labelmaker! If you’ve purchased RhinoPRO… Continue reading
Q) Why is the print quality on my Dymo Rhino Self-Laminating Tape so faint?
A) We have taken this up with Dymo and they don’t see this poor quality of print as a fault. They state that for this particular type of tape (ie. self laminating) the customer should print in BOLD and at MAXIMUM CONTRAST. They also state that print quality can be improved on the 6000 by printing from the rhino connect software, though we have yet to test this theory.

Q) Can I use RhinoPRO tapes in LabelManager Machines?
A) Technically the RhinoPRO tapes are a very similar physical size/shape to the Dymo D1 labels, the main difference being the contents (ie. the label material), so in practice they will usually work – however, this is not officially supported and may also have warranty implications.
However, the RhinoPRO tapes are designed for ‘professional’ applications that require ‘tougher’ tapes with more aggressive adhesive, and the RhinoPRO printers are designed specifically for this type of professional usage. They therefore have a wide… Continue reading
Q) Is there a wireless label printer in the Dymo range?
A) If you’re talking about die cut labellers (eg. barcode labels, address labels etc) then no, none of the LabelWriter range are wireless – in fact they don’t even have wired networking, they’re all USB only.
There is a Dymo print server which allows you to connect the Labelwriters to a wired network, but there is no equivalent wireless product. There may be a 3rd party solution, and if anyone knows of one please let us know.
On the other hand… Continue reading
