Why don’t you ship Dymo orders to Jersey anymore?

Jersey has recently changed the customs requirements for parcels, adding extra paperwork and costs.  Because we operate at such low margins the extra paperwork and time involved means that Jersey orders are too uneconomical so we have taken the decision not to accept orders from Jersey any more.  We are still happy to ship to Guernsey (and the rest of the EU) though.

Why do my Dymo labelmaker labels keep falling off?

A common mistake when purchasing a label maker is to just buy the cheapest one available and assume it will do the job.

In fact the better way is to decide what you want to label, then find out which are the best types of label for that application, then find a label machine that can print those labels.

Too many labels come out of the LabelWriter when trying to print

The LabelWriter has a photocell or optical sensor to detect the beginning and the end of a label. This sensor, in conjunction with the labels and the printer mechanism determine how far a label advances during printing. The problem may be caused by:

1. Make sure DYMO labels are being used and that there is an oval hole between each label. Only DYMO labels are LabelWriter compatible.
2. Make sure the oval hole between each label is at the left side in the LabelWriter.

How to remove a jammed label from a Dymo Labelwriter

If you’ve managed to get a label jammed in your Labelwriter then here are some very useful step by step instructions from Dymo on how to remove it.

Together with the DYMO LabelWriter a cleaningcard was delivered.  Feed this card a few times through the LabelWriter, in order to remove label. If the label remains stuck, try to gently pull it out of the LabelWriter.  If this doesn’t work follow these instructions:

Q: Why do I have to pay more for delivery to Highlands & Islands?
A: Our orders are delivered by courier, our couriers charge us a much higher rate for these areas therefore we pass this extra charge on to you

Q: Why have you classed me as Highlands & Islands when I’m not?
A: The couriers have a list of postcodes that cover the highlands & islands, and also some other postcodes that they consider to be ‘remote’. In many cases this includes pretty much most locations above Aberdeen.… Continue reading
