LetraTAG Label Maker

The LetraTAG is Dymo's entry level range of labellers, and is primarily aimed at labeling around the home. It's low cost and ease of use make ideal for first time users - Just insert some batteries and pop the supplied label in the back of the machine and you're ready to go. Just switch on and start typing, it's as simple as that.

There are a variety of fonts sizes and box styles to choose from, as well as lots of symbols and characters. It can be used for labelling files, folders, stationary, storage boxes, photo albums, toys, CDs, shelves, food containers and toys.

Because the printer uses direct thermal print technology there are no ribbons, inks or toner cartridges needed - just the tapes. The tapes can be swapped back and forth with no wastage, and there are several types to choose from including paper, metallic, and various colours of plastic tape. There is even a fabric iron-on tape, whch allows you to easily identify children's clothing and other fabric items by simply printing, peeling and ironing the label on.

To create a label, just press the keys on the built-in keypad. Each letter appears on the small LCD screen. The keypad is pretty self explanatory, and you can print your first label very easily. Six digits appear on the screen. If your label is longer, the first digits will scroll off the screen before you get to the end of the label. To confirm that the entire label is correct, it can be reviewed by pressing the Preview button (Print+Shift). When your label is complete, press Print, then press the cutting button.
