The LabelWriter 450 range was released in the UK in early 2010. The LabelWriter 400 series are no longer available, but the LW450 series work in the same way, and use the same labels. They come with a new version of the Dymo Label Software, which supports Windows 7 and still works with the old 400 series if needed - so you can have LW400 and LW500 printers running along side each other with no problems.
What's new with the 450 range? They're faster, sleaker, blacker, shinier, sharper and come with much improved V8 of the Labelling Software. The main difference is the better speed and resolution, but they still use exactly the same labels as the 400 series. The addition of the 4XL extra wide printer allows for some extra large labels, and also allows 'high-yield' labels which aren't available for the standard models.
